A presentation by, Cathy Moore, entitled “Democratic Women:  Making a Difference in 2010.” 

Cathy Moore was born and raised in the metropolitan area of New York City.  She lived many years in California and then chose North Carolina as home. She is a lawyer employed by the Durham County Office of the County Attorney representing Durham County Department of Social Services in child abuse and neglect cases.  She is married to Stephen Gheen and they have two adult children.

Cathy is precinct chair for her Durham precinct, was a Change Crew Chief for 2 Precincts for the Obama campaign, after actively working for Hillary Clinton in the primary.  Cathy is an avid canvasser and participated in politics through volunteer and community organizing long before President Obama made it fashionable. In the 2008 election, she was one of four lead coordinators who created and successfully ran Durham Women Vote, a letter writing campaign that contacted 24,000 infrequent voters in Durham County and urged them to vote. 

She will be telling you more about this and other strategies for keeping NC blue.
