The North Carolina Democratic Party, Plan of Organization, requires each precinct to hold annual precinct
meetings.
The purpose of this meeting, is to elect delegates to
the Union County, North Carolina Democratic Party Convention, which will be held
on Saturday, April 10th, 2010.
All
meetings are free and open to any registered Democrat residing in the precinct.
The
Union County, North Carolina Democratic Party Chairman, Harry Crow, has
identified Thursday, March 18th, 2010 as the date whereby each
precinct must have conducted its annual meeting, should a quorum not be achieved
at the prescribed March 11th precinct meeting date,
a make-up
meeting shall be held on Thursday, March 18th.
Precincts not having conducted
their annual meetings, with the requisite quorum present, by March 18th,
will be considered as unorganized and will not be able to vote at the Union
County, North Carolina Democratic Party Convention.

Per the Party Plan of Organization,
Precinct Meetings will consist of:
1. The election of active Democrats from the precinct as delegates to the county convention;
2. The chair, or presiding officer, and the secretary/treasurer shall certify to the county chair the names, addresses,
race, gender, telephone numbers and E-mail addresses of the delegates elected to the county convention at the annual precinct meeting within five (5)
days.
